Physician Grade 70% Glycolic Acid Peel
Allergan Facial Aesthetics Physician Grade Vivite Glycolic Acid Peel Treatment with GLX Technology is designed to be applied in a clinical environment by a licensed professional.
Over time the skin loses moisture and elasticity. The skin surface breaks down into wrinkles, acquires uneven tone, rough texture and can become dull looking. Patients experiencing one or more of these skin conditions will benefit from Vivite Glycolic Acid Peel Treatments with GLX Technology.
This peel will accelerate thet removal of unproductive surface skin and enhance the skin's natural production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and epidermal growth factor to reveal a healthier skin with minimal downtime. The peel series can reduce fine lines, smooth skin texture, even skin tone and improve moisture content in the skin tissue.
It is recommended to complete a treatment series of 4 to 8 peels treatments for best results.

Obagi Blue Peel

The Blue Peel is an in-office procedure designed to significantly improve the appearance and health to your skin. Using a low concentration of the chemical trichloroacetic acid mixed with a special blue base to slow penetration, the Blue Peel allows our Medical Doctor or trained, licensed personnel to monitor the appropriate depth to effectively remove the thin surface layers of aged and damaged skin from the face or other parts of the body. The dead skin cells are replaced by healthier ones, allowing the skin’s own clarity and tightness to resurface.
The Blue Peel allows the control of the depth of the peel and the number of coats applied in order to tailor the process to your skin’s specific needs. It can also be performed on the back, chest, hands, back, arms, and legs.
The procedure is quick, relatively simple and highly tolerable. There is a mild burning sensation that lasts two to three minutes (which can be minimized by the use of a fan). Immediately after the procedure, a bluish tint remains on your skin which will usually wash off in 12 to 24 hours.
When skin is completely finished peeling, you will quickly notice a great result of your newly improved complexion. And it will continue to improve over the next 4 to 6 weeks becoming firmer, clearer, smoother, and healthier looking. In most cases, one to three Blue Peels can achieve dramatic improvements in many skin problems, but no two people are the same and you and your skin will be assessed to find the desired results.

The Blue Peel Procedure

The Blue Peel procedure is designed to improve the appearance and health of your skin, however, the degree of improvement is variable. This is not a cure all treatment, therefore it is important that you have a thorough understanding of what this peel can and cannot do for your skin condition.
The Blue Peel is a TCA or trichloroacetic acid peel, which can be applied to deeply exfoliate the epidermis, or applied to penetrate to the reticular dermis, correcting damage directly in the area where skin cells are forming. This type of peel requires specialized training and experience to effect the most dramatic change.
This peel can be performed after 12 weeks of pre-treatment with the NuDerm system, whereby the skin is stabilized and ready to peel, with the expectation of consistent and predictable results. This procedure is not to be taken lightly, as it is a serious peel with beautiful results, if performed properly after pre-treatment. It can reduce and minimize acne scars, firm and lift the skin, minimize pores and excessive oiliness. After one week to ten days, NuDerm is restarted and the smoother, highly refined skin cells emerge in approximately six weeks. Many women find that the week they spend immediately after the peel at home, is an investment in the health and correction of damaged skin.
Alternative methods of treatment, which include lower percent acid peels, microdermabrasion, and laser resurfacing are a step below, but treatments which also improve the skin to a variable degree. They however, cannot realize the correction that a TCA peel after NuDerm can. However, some correction can be made. A consultation with an Aesthetician or physician can help you decide what procedure is right for your skin and lifestyle.
As with any procedure, there is a risk of mild to moderate irritation, with some associated redness. It is possible to experience an outbreak of the cold sore virus if you have had them before. We provide medication to prevent an outbreak if you have experienced a cold sore previously. Peeling and flaking is an expected sequel to the peel procedure, and part of the process to improve the health of the skin. This should be complete within 7 to 10 days. Temporarily some discoloration is possible after the peel. We ask you to follow up in expected intervals to achieve the beautiful healthy result you desire and choose this peel for.
